How to use heirlooms
Buy an heirloom once and it is learned into the Heirlooms tab of your Collections, shared by every character on your account. From there, any character can create its own copy. Upgrades you apply show up on every copy you create afterwards.

Step by step
- Buy it. Most heirlooms come from a heirloom vendor. Once bought, it is learned like a mount, pet, or toy.
- Open Collections, then the Heirlooms tab. It lists every heirloom in the game, with the ones you have not collected greyed out, and shows how many you have.
- Create a copy. Pick the heirloom and the game puts a copy in the current character’s bags. Every character can create its own copy, so you never need to buy one twice.
- Equip it. Its stats scale with your level up to 30, or higher once upgraded.
Finding things in the Heirlooms tab
- Filter it by class and specialization, or use its search box.
- PvP heirlooms are marked as such.
- Some heirlooms do not appear in the tab until you have one.
Upgrades and copies
Upgrades apply to the heirloom in your collection, not just to one copy. A copy created after an upgrade arrives at the upgraded level the tab shows. See the upgrade tokens and what they cost.
Moving heirlooms between characters
Creating a fresh copy from the tab is the simplest way. Heirlooms can also be mailed to any character on the same account, including characters of the other faction and on other realms. Since patch 11.0.2 heirlooms are Warbound.
Deleting spares
A copy you no longer need can be deleted, like a toy, as long as it has not been enchanted. You can create another from the tab later. Enchanting a copy makes it soulbound; see heirloom enchants.
No repairs
Heirlooms have no durability, so they never need repairing.
Collected a lot of them? Thirty-five unlock a mount: the Chauffeured Chopper.
