Heirloom rings and how to get them
No vendor sells heirloom rings. Of the 5 rings with a sourced record, 4 can still be earned: one from the weekly Stranglethorn fishing contest and three from rare garrison shipyard missions.

Which rings can you wear together?
The three garrison rings share one unique-equipped group, so you can wear only one of Admiral Taylor’s Loyalty Ring, Captain Sander’s Returned Band, and Signet of the Third Fleet at a time. The Dread Pirate Ring is not in that group, so it can go in your second ring slot.
The fishing contest ring
The Dread Pirate Ring is a reward for turning in Grand Prize or Second Place at the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza in Booty Bay. Only first and second place in that week’s contest get the reward.
The garrison shipyard rings
Each garrison ring comes from one rare shipyard mission in your Warlords of Draenor garrison. You need a garrison with a shipyard, and the mission has to appear on your mission table before you can send a fleet.
- Admiral Taylor’s Loyalty Ring: The House Always Wins (agility).
- Captain Sander’s Returned Band: For Hate’s Sake (strength).
- Signet of the Third Fleet: The Wave Mistress (intellect).
Rings you can no longer get
The Band of Radiant Echoes was created during the Radiant Echoes event that ran before The War Within launched. Its record lists a maximum scaling level of 49 and no upgrade levels.
Do rings count toward the set bonus?
