Getting to the Faire

Alliance: the portal is at the staging grounds in Elwynn Forest, just south of the Goldshire crossroads.
Horde: the portal is at the staging grounds in Mulgore, just southwest of Thunder Bluff, reachable by the western lift down from the city.

The Faire opens at 3 AM realm time. When the week ends, anyone still on Darkmoon Island is sent back to Elwynn Forest or Mulgore.

Earning tickets

Daily quests at each sideshow game reward a Darkmoon Game Prize containing a ticket.
Each profession has a once-per-Faire quest that rewards a few tickets and 5 skill points.
Artifacts that drop while you carry a Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide can be turned in once per Faire for tickets.
Moonfang’s Pelt and the monthly Test Your Strength quest each give 10 tickets.

Tickets are slow but cost no gold. For context, the cheapest heirlooms here cost 50 tickets.
